Welcome to my blog, a virtual space where I document my progression from information technology support to the world of cybersecurity. Here, I will share my experiences, learnings, and thoughts as I embark on this transformative journey. But that's not all! This blog is not just about my cybersecurity journey; it's also a place where I will dive into all the things I love in the tech world, including gadgets, 3D printing, and AI. It's a comprehensive exploration of the diversity of technology that captivates me.

What to Expect
Here, I will share my progress and insights on the skills I'm learning, the tools I'm exploring, and the concepts I find fascinating. I plan to discuss my thoughts on other blogs, articles, or writings related to tech and welcome your suggestions for further reading or discussion topics.
The Road Ahead
As I further explore into the tech realm, I'm determined to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this field. To kickstart this, the first few post will be an overview of what I have been working on and the things to come, here are the main topics and milestones that I will discuss later on:
3D Printing Lab
I purchased my first 3D printer in the fall of 2022 (Anycubic Photon M3) and was given the matching wash station (Anycubic Wash & Cure 2.0) the following Christmas. These are probably the second most time consuming toys I have ever owned, right behind all my PlayStations.
Home Lab
To facilitate hands-on learning and practical experimentation, I have established a functional home lab environment within VirtualBox. In this setup, I can deploy multiple operating systems within a virtual environment, providing me with hands-on experience to explore diverse tools, networks, and practice various cybersecurity techniques.
Certifications
Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), ISC2 - September 2023
Google Cybersecurity Certificate - October 2023
ITIL Foundation - November 2023
Security+, CompTIA - Coming Soon!
TryHackMe
This has been a great resource for learning new concepts and navigating tools of the trade. So far I have completed 68 rooms in 4 learning paths, accumulating over 160 hours of continued learning.
Final Thoughts
As I embark on this journey, encompassing not only the topics I already enjoy discussing but also venturing into new territories, I must acknowledge that there is a certain uneasiness in publicly sharing my progress. However, I believe that by stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing this blog as a platform for transparency, I will not only increase my drive to learn but also inspire others who may be facing similar uncertainties.
Very cool! Can’t wait to see what else I can learn from you, seeing how I know nothing about anything in the tech world. Proud of you!
So excited for this!
